Botswana
Botswana is a premier Southern African safari destination known for vast wilderness areas, exceptional wildlife, diverse landscapes, and low-density safari experiences. From the waterways of the Okavango Delta and the wildlife-rich Chobe region to the salt pans of Makgadikgadi and the remote landscapes of the Central Kalahari, the country offers a wide range of safari, nature, cultural, and adventure experiences. Botswana also provides access to important cross-border tourism circuits connecting Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, and South Africa.
Safari Game Drives
The classic safari experience. Settle into an open-sided vehicle and head into the bush at sunrise or late afternoon, when animals are most active and the light is soft. Your guide tracks fresh signs, reads animal behaviour and shares the stories behind each sighting. Chobe is famed for its elephant concentrations, while the Okavango region and Khwai offer excellent chances to see lions, wild dogs and leopards. Morning and afternoon drives are available, and full-day options can be arranged. The same style of drive is available in other Southern African parks, including Hwange in Zimbabwe, South Luangwa in Zambia, Etosha in Namibia and Kruger in South Africa.
Wildlife & Safari
Botswana holds some of Africa’s largest wildlife populations, from elephant herds along the Chobe River to predators roaming the Okavango’s floodplains. Browse our safari styles to find the way of exploring that suits you, whether that is the comfort of a vehicle, the quiet of a walking trail or the thrill of a night drive. Every outing is led by an experienced local guide who knows the animals, the land and the best moments to be there.
